SOME Inc. is currently seeking a full-time House Manager for Exodus House in West Virginia.

Position Description: The House Manager oversees the residential facility and clients during overnight hours. The House Manager also provides support and assistance to clients, as needed.

Required: HS Degree/GED; 1-3 yrs experience in social services; experience providing services in addictions or mental health treatment

Required License/Certification: CPR/First Aid; AED; Food Handler's License; Crisis Intervention (Training); Driver's License

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday; 12:00pm - 8:00am (40 hours/week)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Ability to set professional boundaries
  • Conflict resolution skills with an understanding of de-escalation techniques
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Relationship building skills
  • Organized with an attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Ability to maintain calm in crisis situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maintains confidentiality while working with sensitive issues

Expected Contributions - Program Management:

  • Provide supervision of the facility and residents during assigned shift, maintain safety & security of facility. Perform room inspections nightly and in the morning. Provide assistance to residents for daily living activities. Perform administrative duties including copying, scanning, and filing as needed. Provide documentation and maintain communication logs.
